Dermot O’Leary joins the GQ team

Dermot O’Leary is joining British GQ as a Contributing Editor, it was announced yesterday by Dylan Jones, Editor of the magazine.

“Having appeared in the magazine for several years, debuting as a writer in 2015, and acting as an Ambassador for London Collections Men, Dermot is a long-standing and much-loved member of the GQ family. It is with great pleasure I have appointed him Contributing Editor, something that has been long overdue," commented Jones.

“As a long time avid reader of GQ, I'm delighted and humbled to be joining the team as Contributing Editor. I’m really looking forward to more writing, interviewing some unique people and supporting more LCM events. Oh, and the occasional spot of lunch”, added Dermot O’Leary.

British Fashion Council Ambassador and host of his own multi-award winning Radio 2 show, Dermot first came to prominence as part of the original presenting line-up of Channel 4's T4 strand. He is best known for being the presenter of The X Factor on ITV, a position he held for eight series between 2007 and 2014. On 20th January he will be hosting the National Television Awards, whilst his latest primetime entertainment show Getaway Car launches on BBC1 later this month.
