The new version of ES Magazine brings Londoners a new logo, vibrant voices, bold imagery and inspiring insights into life as a Londoner. This new chapter in the ES Magazine’s history will take the publication from strength to strength as it marks its 35th anniversary, say the publishers.
The newly relaunched magazine boasts a bolder and sophisticated aesthetic with more white space, as well as a new logo and masthead with a font aligned with the main Evening Standard brand. In addition, the revamped digital edition is relocating to standard.co.uk and will feature a mixture of visual stories and longer form editorial articles.
As well as a new look, the magazine has unveiled a raft of new sections, including:
- Bubble Rap a weekly feature by new voice, Londoner and fashion blogger Susie Lau;
- Need to Know offering a weekly digest of the who-what-where-and-when of everything;
- A reboot of My London; and
- A reintroduction of the Editor’s Letter as a regular feature.
A host of new image-makers and writers are joining the team, including photographers Quil Lemons, Tim Walker, Indigo Lewin; stylists Katie Grand and Harry Lambert; and writers Tim Blanks, Susie Lau (aka Susie Bubble) and Willy Ndatira (aka @williamcult).
To celebrate and showcase the new ES Magazine, it is working with London Fashion Week as the event’s official media partner in February. In addition, the Magazine has unveiled a series of special editorial features for the coming months including:
- Valentines Issue – Friday 11 February 2022
- Fashion Special launched during London Fashion Week –Friday 18 February 2022
The ES Magazine’s new Editor, Ben Cobb, said: “As a Londoner, ES has always been a part of my life. It’s a privilege to edit such an iconic London brand. I’m excited to work with the ES team on capturing the energetic soul of this city and reaching a powerful community in London and beyond.”
Cobb commenced his role as Editor in October.
