Financial News launches Fintech News

Financial News, a publication for the European investment banking and securities industry, yesterday launched Fintech News; a monthly supplement covering the themes and issues affecting the financial technology industry.

Fintech News will feature news and interviews with industry leaders from start-ups, venture capital firms and financial institutions, as well as guest commentary. Yesterday’s launch issue includes comment from Nick Hungerford, founder of online investment management firm Nutmeg, who warns the asset management industry on new competition coming their way; and Matteo Rizzi, a partner at SBT Venture Capital, who gives start-ups advice on what deadly sins they should avoid. The inaugural issue also contains a profile of Sean Park, founder of fintech advisory and investment firm Anthemis Group, and an interview with Brendan Bradley, the chief information officer of Eurex.

There will also be regular in-depth features on the most significant themes and issues affecting the fintech industry; from peer to peer lending to the future of market structure. It will also include data on the latest deals and key hires in the industry.

“Fintech News focuses on the changes in finance triggered by a wave of technological innovations”, said Gren Manuel, editor, Financial News. “There is a critical mass of ideas, devices and new ways of thinking that are forcing financial institutions to adopt and adapt, especially in London. It’s all about what’s ahead for the world of finance”.

All content from the monthly print supplement will be available online to subscribers at www.efinancialnews.com. Fintech News will also be distributed at Sibos, the banking and finance event being held in Boston this week, along with Financial News.

Earlier this year, Financial News launched its inaugural Fintech 40; a list of the top 40 people in Europe’s fintech industry.
