Future and Lego team up to promote Ninjago

Future, the special-interest media group, has partnered with LEGO to bring new LEGO Ninjago to popular children’s title Nitro.

Set in a world of ninjas and introducing a unique ‘Spinjitzu’ battle element, Ninjago is Lego’s hottest property of 2011.

Every copy of Nitro issue 98 comes with a LEGO Ninjago Minifigure plus Spinner Set and Battle Cards (worth £7.49).

Bursting out of the issue is blue ninja Jay or his enemy Frakjaw - but five lucky readers will find red ninja Kai instead and win more LEGO Ninjago goodies.

Editor Richard Owen says: “Packed with excitement, heroes and action, LEGO Ninjago is perfect for Nitro. Our readers will be thrilled to get their hands on this awesome LEGO Ninjago gear!”

The LEGO Ninjago promotion follows in the footsteps of highly successful covermounts with Future for LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars and LEGO Power Miners, says Future.

LEGO Ninjago Brand Manager Sally-Anne Weekes says: “LEGO Ninjago has been the largest LEGO IP launch to date and it was paramount that it received a high impact supporting campaign. We chose Nitro as 'destination Ninjago', our key media partner.

“Comprehensive and extensive creative solutions included take-over issues, advertorials, character highlights and covermount activity. We've been delighted with the work so far and will continue to work with Nitro in the future.”

Nitro issue 98 also comes with a covermounted Alien Invaders novel (worth £4.99), a giant Nintendo 3DS AR card, a water blaster and 24 Swapits points.

Disney/Pixar’s latest blockbuster Cars 2 is on the cover, and inside there’s a look at the new series of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Nitro issue 98 hits newsstands on Thursday 14th July with five special gifts. It’s priced at £3.99.
