Guardian wins 10 Malofiej Awards

The Guardian’s interactive and visual teams have won ten awards at this year’s Malofiej Awards held at a ceremony in Pamplona, Spain.

The Malofiej Awards, which are named after Argentinian cartographer Alejandro Malofiej, honour the best in data visualization, information graphics and visual storytelling from around the world.

The Guardian’s Homan square interactive won gold in the features category, whilst a graphic on affordable housing took home the Miguel Urabayen Award for best online map in the competition.

Other award wins included How measles spreads, which was given a silver, and bronze awards for the Germanwings breaking news guide, China’s economic slowdown, Unaffordable Country, London’s skyline, Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record, the Climb of Alpe d’Huez, as well as the Gurdian’s Breaking News Portfolio.
