After over two decades of service, HH&S says it bids farewell to Catriona Gray as she steps down from her role as group account director of subscriptions. HH&S says Catriona has been instrumental in its evolution from a promotions and direct marketing agency to the subscriptions marketing and fulfilment business it is known as today. Her vision and leadership have left an indelible mark, added the company, and while she departs from full-time responsibilities, the company says it will have her continue contributing in a consulting capacity.
HH&S has announced that Gemma Heavens will step into Catriona’s shoes as group account director, subscriptions. Gemma joined HH&S with experience as the former subscriptions manager for Jamie (Oliver) Magazine, where she initially collaborated with HH&S as a client. Her understanding of the news and magazine subscriptions business makes her qualified to lead us into our next chapter, added the company. Sarah Oliver OK! Magazine said: “We are very pleased to see Gemma step up and know we are in capable hands”.
Gemma is also an ACE committee member. James Beardow, ACE Chairman said: “Gemma is regarded by many piers in the industry as a stalwart subscriptions expert.”
In addition, HH&S says it has welcomed Kate Vaughan-Payne, who joins as subscriptions account director. Kate, previously a client of HH&S during her tenure with HELLO! Magazine, brings a new energy and a strategic vision to expand her role as account director subscriptions, added the company. Roger Williams, associate publisher HELLO! and HELLO! Fashion said: “Kate has a deep creative and marketing expertise and is very results driven. Kate not only increased acquisition rates at HELLO! but also significantly boosted retention rates.”
According to the company, another development includes the promotion of Rhian McPherson to an enhanced customer care manager role, where her responsibilities will now encompass greater client-facing engagements.
HH&S says it has been fortunate to maintain a high level of consistency within its senior management team - a strength that it says has allowed it to provide unparalleled service to clients. The company says Catriona’s dedication and commitment have been at the heart of this journey, and her legacy will remain a guiding force for years to come.
