InStyle lures Hachette’s Rushton to lead Advertising Team

IPC Southbank’s fashion and beauty title, InStyle, has appointed Hachette Filipacchi’s head of promotions, Jhan Rushton, as advertising director.

Reporting to Alex Russell, IPC Southbank group advertising director, Jhan (pictured) will be responsible for InStyle’s display advertising and driving commercial partnerships for the brand.

He leads a core team of three: international fashion manager Sam O'Shaughnessy, from Dazed & Confused, UK fashion manager Sophie Fairclough, also from Hachette Filipacchi, and advertising manager Paola Rosato, from Grazia.

Jhan joins InStyle with a wealth of publishing experience, including nine years at Hachette Filipacchi representing brands such as ELLE, Red and Psychologies.

Alex says: “InStyle is the insider’s fashion and beauty bible, which readers and advertisers can access through multiple touch points. Jhan’s background in creative sponsorships and promotions will ensure InStyle capitalises on these strengths and delivers integrated advertising solutions for clients.”

Jhan says: “I’m thrilled to join InStyle. The editorial looks stronger than ever and with the 10th anniversary approaching and exciting projects in the pipeline, there is great potential for us to deliver some fantastic commercial partnerships.”

Jhan takes his position with immediate effect. He replaces Lewis Tucker who moved to Wales to set up his own business.
