Launch: Arrow

Arrow, a new monthly comic from Titan Publishing Group, based on the television series, goes on sale 17 October, priced £2.99.

According to distributors COMAG: Based on the popular Green Arrow character from DC Comics, Arrow is an action drama programme that has become a popular TV show around the world.

Shipwrecked on a remote Pacific island for five years, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead before being discovered and brought home to Starling City.

Although his mother, sister and best friend all welcome him home, it soon becomes clear to them that Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. At the same time as he is trying to reconnect with his home and loved ones, Oliver creates the persona of Arrow.

Donning a green hood and armed with a bow, Arrow is a vigilante on a mission to right the wrongs of the Queen family, fight the ills of society and restore Starling City to its former glory.

Launched to coincide with the UK premiere of the second series of the programme on Sky1, Arrow is fully-licensed and is sure to be a timely addition for British fans of the hit show.

With four fantastic stories in every 52-page issue, this new comic will look beyond the TV show with exciting new mysteries, characters and stories, to be the ultimate Arrow experience.

Not only will every issue be written by the show’s creators to provide an intriguing insight into the programme, but the comic will also feature interior art from Mike Grell, the legendary artist of Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters, the successful comic book series published in 1987.

As well as all this, issue No.1 will have an exclusive interview with series star Stephen Amell.
