Mail on Sunday increases cover price

The Mail on Sunday has announced that it will be increasing its cover price from £1.60 to £1.70 this weekend.

The 10p increase, the first rise in over 15 months for the current Newspaper of the Year, is expected to deliver an extra £6 million of revenue and over £1.26 million of incremental profit for retailers annually.

This price increase coincides with one of the biggest in-paper promotions The Mail on Sunday is running in 2016. Backed by a heavyweight TV and social media campaign, the promotion will offer readers an exclusive free Jamie Oliver recipe magazine this weekend.

Reflective of the paper’s outstanding value for money and its continuing commitment to supporting retail sales, this high-impact promotion sits alongside The Mail on Sunday’s award-winning journalism and editorial content, say the publishers.

The paper triumphed at this year’s National Press Awards with an unprecedented seven major awards, including the ultimate accolade: Newspaper of the Year.
