Maney to publish Journal of Histotechnology

Maney Publishing has announced a new publishing partnership with the National Society for Histotechnology (NSH) to publish Journal of Histotechnology from 2011.

The Journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Karen Burg, is Hunter Endowed Chair and Director of the Institute for Biological Interfaces of Engineering at Clemson University, USA. Professor Burg commented: “We look forward to working with Maney Publishing to provide cutting-edge information for the Journal’s global readership. Maney’s track record in academic publishing, coupled with more than three decades of commitment of the NSH to the Journal, provides the perfect backdrop for technical and editorial innovation.”

Carrie Diamond, the Executive Director of the NSH, is confident that this partnership will ensure the continued success of the Journal: “The synergy between Maney Publishing and the NSH will enhance the quality content and research of the Journal of Histotechnology. The opportunities for authors and readers provide an energizing environment of collaboration and community.”

Kimberly Martin, Executive Publisher at Maney, welcomes the Journal to Maney: “We are looking forward to working with the NSH to integrate the Journal into Maney’s health sciences list, and promote it around the world. We will be making it available online via IngentaConnect for all subscribers and members, including the last ten years of content, which will be an important development in increasing its visibility amongst the biomedical profession.”

The National Society for Histotechnology (NSH), formed in 1973, is a non-profit organization, committed to the advancement of histotechnology, its practitioners, and quality standards of practice through leadership, education and advocacy. NSH is over 4000 members strong, representing histology professionals from around the globe. It hosts a highly successful annual Symposium/Convention. Members of the NSH receive the journal as part of their membership and Maney will be handling institutional subscriptions. www.nsh.org
