Marie Claire to launch new fashion bi-annual

Marie Claire, the premium fashion glossy, is to launch Marie Claire Runway, a new fashion bi-annual that is the first in a line of investment and developments on the brand.

Launching in January 2012 with both print and digital platforms, Marie Claire Runway is for women who live and breathe fashion. It will capture all the show-stopping glitz and glamour of the international collections and will be an indispensable guide to the new season trends for women who want to look fabulous and fashionable every day of their lives.

Marie Claire editor-in-chief Trish Halpin says: “Marie Claire has long been the voice of stylish, upmarket women. They are passionate about fashion and have a huge desire to be in the know. Marie Claire is renowned for its chic and accessible fashion coverage, and this will make Marie Claire Runway a must-buy guide.”

Marie Claire Runway will be a front row seat to the collections showcasing all the new designer trends. With exclusive interviews and photography it will also offer a backstage pass to all the fabulous action that goes on behind the scenes.

Justine Southall, Marie Claire’s new publishing director, adds: “We’re hugely excited about Marie Claire Runway, and the many other ventures we have in the pipeline. We’ve developed Marie Claire to deliver an even more premium proposition, which combined with our investment and development plans gives us the strongest magazine brand offering for our upmarket audience.”

In 2012, Marie Claire will unveil a range of developments. These include new app launches and increased mobile content and a redesign of www.marieclaire.co.uk. In print, Marie Claire will move to a larger format and more editorial pages.

Marie Claire Runway will be on sale from 26 January. Its cover price will be £6.
