Matt Teeman appointed chairman of PPA Marketing Board

Matt Teeman, Sales Director at BBC Magazines has been appointed Chairman of PPA Marketing Board with immediate effect.

Matt succeeds Bauer Media Chief Executive Officer Paul Keenan who has stepped down after three years in the role.

Jonathan Shephard, Chief Executive, PPA said: “I am delighted that Matt Teeman has agreed to take on this very important role. The magazine category has unique advantages for advertisers and agencies and Matt is a brilliant choice to build on the work inspired and carried through by Paul Keenan to get this very real and positive message across.”

Commenting on his successor Paul Keenan said: "I am pleased that the vital work that PPA does advocating and championing the magazine medium and its brands will continue through Matt. I am sure his enthusiasm, knowledge and experience will further advance our arguments in favour of this most compelling and effective advertising medium. Our customers can confidently welcome his additional commitment to growing their investment in magazines."

Matt Teeman added: “I am extremely excited about being asked to chair the PPA Marketing Board. Having been a member of the board myself for the last three years and having worked with some fantastically enthusiastic people, I am looking forward to continuing the work we have started.  Given the climate we are now experiencing, it will be even more important to agree and execute a strong, joined up strategy for the magazine medium as a whole.”
