New Life for Tindle

Two magazines produced monthly in Surrey and Hampshire have been acquired by Tindle Newspapers Ltd as part of their drive to increase the number of local community publications within the Group.

As reported by the Newspaper Society:

Life in Petersfield and Life in Haslemere have been produced successfully for ten years in the counties and will add to the Tindle stable which includes the Petersfield Herald and the Haslemere Herald, the local weekly newspapers.

Sir Ray Tindle, group chairman, welcomed the newcomers and said: “We are delighted to add these successful quality magazines to our family.”

Brian Doel, vice chairman, said he was looking forward to working with them.

Karen Sheppard, area managing director, who will run the magazines, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the new titles aboard and look forward to forging relations with new business people and the local communities Life Magazines serve. This new project complements our existing publications and enhances our plans for the future too.”

Tindle Newspapers have more than 200 local community newspapers and magazines in southern England and Wales and is promising new acquisitions and launches to add to the 21 new titles published by them since the start of the recession.
