Newsstand Launch: Smallish

Smallish, a monthly title from Exclusive Publications, is described as a “lifestyle title for design-conscious mothers”. The first newsstand issue goes on sale 17 September, priced £3.95.

According to distributors COMAG Specialist: Launched in 2011 and described as the ‘VOGUE of fashion for mothers and children’, Baby & Me has previously only been available from selected retail outlets in and around London.

From the October issue, the magazine for design-conscious, affluent parents is relaunching as Smallish and will be available on the newsstand across the UK for the first time.

Aimed at women who have grown up with fashion titles and do not want to be labelled as ‘mummies’, Smallish will be an inspiring read for discerning mothers who want more than just parenting advice from a magazine, including lifestyle and fashion features.

While the ST Kids childrenswear supplement that appears in the Saturday issue of The Daily Telegraph twice a year comes close to offering this content, Smallish will be the only single publication with a monthly frequency to have parenting, lifestyle and fashion.

More than just a parenting title, Smallish will be a glossy, intelligent read with stylish photography and challenging features from award-winning writers. Covering everything from fashion to family travel and child development to entertainment, Smallish will also tackle health and wellbeing, interiors, local news and events and much, much more.

Inspirational and aspirational, Smallish will talk to women in their ‘Mother Hoods’ across the UK, finding out what they want from fashion, home interiors and family life, as well as a round up of the hottest hangouts in their locale.

As well as the name change, Smallish will be completely redesigned from the October issue, with a fresh look and feel, providing a totally new offering compared to Baby & Me.

Baby & Me will continue to exist inside every issue of Smallish, providing a typically beautiful slant on the subjects of pregnancy and birth.

The October issue of Smallish will feature the inaugural ‘Schools Guide’, which reviews the top 50 independent schools across the country.

Educational experts and head teachers will provide written commentary on educational topics of the day. All beautifully packaged in the Smallish tone of voice.
