NME Radio partners with Topman

NME Radio has secured a partnership with leading men’s fashion brand Topman to create the Topman Takeover Show.

Partnering for the first time, NME Radio and Topman co-host a brand new series of shows broadcast live from the newly refurbished Topman flagship store at Oxford Circus in a campaign conceived and negotiated by Carat Sponsorship.

The Topman Takeover Show campaign includes a series of eight live broadcasts across October and November in the new store featuring interviews with bands including The Big Pink, Gallows, Passion Pit and Bombay Bicycle Club, with more still to be announced.

The Topman Takeover Show will be presented by NME Radio’s James Theaker. As well as interviewing bands dressed by Topman, James will also be trying out all the new features in the revamped store, including the Sharps Barber and Shop concession and the Stylist Service.

NME Radio account manager Lauren Stone says: “Coming live from Topman Oxford Circus will be absolutely brilliant, enabling NME Radio to directly interact with both artist and Topman customers. The unique partnership will deliver exclusive content providing for an even greater experience.”

Danielle Ford, senior marketing manager of Topman UK and International, says: “Music radio is a massive part of young people’s lives, whether they are listening online or on FM. NME Radio is a natural choice to support Topman’s commitment to bring audiences closer to new and emerging talent and the on-air energy reflects the unique buzz and energy of our revamped flagship Oxford Circus Store.”

The shows will be promoted in Topman stores and on-air on NME Radio from Monday 26th October and will be broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays (11am - 1pm) from 31st October for four weeks.

On-air activity during the in-store broadcasts includes song requests and competitions giving listeners the chance to win a range of Topman prizes.
