North Devon Journal appoints Acting Editor

Lisa Templeton has been appointed Acting Editor of the North Devon Journal.

Lisa (pictured) began her career in journalism in 1990 in South Africa where she spent the majority of the next 16 years at The Herald (Port Elizabeth), covering the transformation from apartheid to the country’s first democratic elections as the Local Government Reporter. Lisa is currently Chief Sub-Editor for the Gloucestershire Echo, a post she has held for two years.

Lisa said: "I am very much looking forward to this new challenge in my career with Local World. I know there is a fantastic team at the Journal and I am looking forward to working with them. It's an exciting time for our print and online products, and I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity."

Mark Sainsbury, Managing Director, Cornwall and Devon Media said: “I am delighted Lisa is joining the North Devon Journal.

“Lisa’s ideas and skills are well suited to the role and I am very much looking forward to her starting.”

Lisa will join the Journal on May 13, whilst Editor Chloe Hubbard is seconded to the transformation project as a Content Module Leader.
