Ocado to launch customer magazine

Ocado, the only dedicated online supermarket in the UK, is launching an exciting new customer magazine with publishing agency, August Media.

The quarterly will challenge all supermarket magazine conventions, steering away from traditional recipe-based content, instead embracing the philosophy that by choosing Ocado (and therefore saving time otherwise spent travelling to, from and around the local store) the customer chooses to live life differently, and more fully.

Celebrating the great, the daring and the delicious, the launch boasts an impressive line-up of contributors including environmental writer and author Lucy Siegle, philosopher Alain de Botton and chef and presenter Gizzi Erskine.

Jason Gissing, Ocado co-founder, comments: “Ocado is all about engaging its customers and this sharp new magazine is a fantastic way to do that. The time we save them shopping for food will hopefully now be spent reading interesting, inspiring features and trying different things in their lives.”

Mark Lonergan, Managing Director at August Media, comments: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching this genre-busting title for an innovative and much-respected brand such as Ocado, who, like us, like to do things differently.”

Distributed with home deliveries across England, the Ocado magazine launches this week.
