PRWeek execs made founding fellows of PRCA

PRWeek’s publisher Simon Lees and editor Danny Rogers have been made founding fellows of the PRCA, the consultancy trade body for the UK PR industry.

Lees and Rogers, who have worked on PRWeek since 2006 and 2005 respectively, join 43 other individuals who are considered to have made outstanding contributions in driving the British PR industry forward.

Other PRCA founding fellows include Simon Lewis (director of communications, 10 Downing Street), Lord Bell (chairman of Chime and former press secretary to Margaret Thatcher) and Howell James CBE (director of corporate affairs, Barclays).

Francis Ingham, the PRCA’s director-general said: “The PRCA is delighted that Simon and Danny have accepted our invitation to be Founding Fellows. They have both made a notable contribution to driving our industry forward, and it is right that we recognise this.”

The Fellowship programme was launched at an event on Thursday 8 April in the City of London.
