Readly wins consumer app award

App industry recognises magazine service.

Readly, a digital magazine newsstand, has won “Best Consumer App” at the Appsters Awards, at Apps World London 2016.

Readly beat off a strong challenge from high profile apps produced by companies such as Easy Jet, Baagloo and Zolt. The judging panel, chose Readly because it was a “life-changing value-add” and is having a real impact on how people read magazines, says the company.

Ranj Begley, Readly UK’s Managing Director, said: “We’re really thrilled to have won this award. From doing our “day job,” we already know that both consumers and publishers value Readly. Yet it is really gratifying for our peers in the app world to see what we are doing and to rate it as highly as they have done. The award recognises what we are doing as a company. Yet we are also flying the flag for the whole magazine industry, which is changing fast and responding to shifting consumer reading patterns that are becoming increasingly digital. The success of the Readly app is tangible evidence of that.”
