A survey conducted amongst readers of Primary Times magazine showed that in the last 12 months:-
74% of all families have eaten out regularly
65% still take an annual holiday abroad
88% take a holiday in the UK each year and a staggering
90% of children of surveyed parents have a savings account.
Steve Edwards, Managing Director of Primary Times was encouraged and surprised at the results. “Primary Times is a “lifestage” magazine distributed free across all socio- economic groups. The fact that such a high percentage of Primary School parents are regularly eating out and holidaying each year during these difficult times, demonstrates that, for them, leisure is still a priority. Perhaps this trend is an understandable reaction to the recession?”
