The Sun appoints Tracey Boles as Business Editor

Tracey joins from City A.M., where she held the role of news editor for 18 months.

Tracey previously served as business editor at The Sunday Express for more than seven years, covering big business stories including the credit crunch and financial crisis.

During a 17-year career in financial journalism, she has also been a business reporter on The Sunday Times (2006), chief reporter at Sunday Business (2001 to 2005) and a personal finance correspondent for The Observer, says the publisher.

Tracey said: "I am really excited to be joining Britain's best-selling newspaper at what is a historic time for the UK and its economy. I look forward to bringing the top business and finance news to The Sun's many readers, and would like to hear from anyone with a great story to tell, or chief executive to interview."

Paul Clarkson, Managing Editor, The Sun, said: "Tracey is a great addition to our team at The Sun having worked on important stories from the world of finance throughout her career. She will bring our readers the top business news of the day through the Sun's City page, and beyond."

Tracey replaces former Business Editor Rhodri Phillips who left the title earlier this month.
