Total 911 named Porsche Mag of the Year

Total 911, the world’s only magazine dedicated to the Porsche 911, has been named Porsche Magazine of the Year in the Porsche Awards 2010.

Porsche enthusiasts from around the world voted in the influential awards and chose Total 911 over its competitors, according to Imagine Publishing.

Total 911 has a great team of talented writers, photographers and designers, all of whom are Porsche enthusiasts, and the award is due to their dedication and hard work – their enthusiasm oozes out of the pages,” said Editor in Chief Philip Raby. “Furthermore, I’ve always strived to make Total 911 a magazine that readers feel a part of; I spend a lot of time communicating directly with readers and I know they appreciate that personal contact.”

That dedication paid extra dividends, as the awards also named Raby as Porsche Journalist of the Year. He has been involved in Porsches for over 15 years and is well respected as an authority on these exciting German sports cars.

The annual Porsche Awards are organised by the popular 911UK website, and have become an influential and respected part of the Porsche community in the UK and around the world.

Total 911 was launched in 2005 and has become the magazine of choice for Porsche enthusiasts worldwide, says Imagine. “We recognised a need for a publication dedicated to the 911; the only Porsche with almost 50 years of heritage and the only model that people get really excited by,” explained Philip Raby.
