These appointments illustrate Apester’s continued investment and further growth in the EMEA region, says the company. Anya will focus on growing the company’s sales, partnerships and operations in the UK, expanding the publisher portfolio.
Apester helps drives engagement for a growing roster of clients including ESI Media, Reedpop, NME Networks, GoFeminin, Trusted Reviews, RTL Interactive, Global Gaming and Kicker; helping them to optimise data strategies and drive new revenue streams.
Most recently, Anya held a position of a publisher sales director for the UK & Nordics at Taboola, helping publisher clients make the most of the content recommendation engine’s technology to drive revenue, grow engagement and attract new audiences. Prior to this, Anya was a consultant at Accenture Song, formerly Accenture Interactive, where she was focused on data driven marketing strategy; supporting clients with leveraging customer insights and analytics to improve their sales and marketing efforts. She is also an active supporter of a number of initiatives aimed at improving DEI in the media industry, including as a member of Bloom UK, The Women in Programmatic Network and as a mentor with Beleve. Anya holds an MBA and earned a distinction in her MSc Marketing from the University of Manchester.
“Apester’s technology supports media owners across the three key pillars - audience engagement, data and revenue, and I can’t wait to bring its market leading offer to more clients,” she says. “The team is empowering publishers with the tools they need to understand their audiences better, whilst reducing reliance on third party cookies and providing interactive and highly engaging experiences which put control back in the hands of publishers.”
Itay Gissin, who joined Apester as CEO earlier this year, adds: “Anya immediately understood Apester’s mission and its unique positioning as a technology company which marries the goals of editorial and commercial teams. She is a natural leader and will be an enormous asset to our expanding, high-performing team as we help publishers grow by driving revenue and audience engagement, even in the current challenging climate.”
