Archant Life promotes titles at cruise terminals

D and G Media, specialists in experiential and monitored free distribution at cruise terminals, are rolling out a long-term campaign for Archant Life to increase awareness of their Life titles including Hampshire Life, Surrey Life and Kent Life.

Archant Life, part of Archant, ran a successful test campaign for three months earlier this year at the Cruise Terminals in Dover and Southampton.

Phil Elcome, Group Circulation Manager for Archant Life South East & East said: “Our publications are read mainly by high net-worth individuals who live in more affluent areas and, in the main, shop in Waitrose, M&S and John Lewis. The activity we did at the Cruise Terminals in Southampton and Dover has increased brand awareness of our publications such as Hampshire Life, Surrey Life & Kent Life.

Advertisers have welcomed our marketing activity, which places them in an exclusive environment and is attracting new readers to these high quality magazines; they have received sales enquiries as a result of their presence in the cruise lounges and as a result, we will continue to promote our titles in the cruise departure and arrival lounges and look forward to a successful partnership with D and G Media.”

The cruise lounges in Southampton and Dover look after some of the biggest cruise ship names including: Cunard, P&O Cruises, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean International, Disney, Fred Olsen, Saga and many more. The industry predicts a 20% increase in passenger numbers in 2011, according to D&G.
