Daly previously led marketing for Amazon Prime in the UK, helping transform the subscription business into a multi-service content offering. Prior to that, he played a critical role in the data-led transformation of Auto Trader. Most recently he led marketing & communications for digital smart home innovator Hive.
In his new role, Daly will be responsible for building profile and partnerships for Autovia’s ‘content and commerce’ business. The business gives customers looking to purchase a car intelligent, trusted advice and a platform to easily buy the car they want, and provides dealers and OEMs with an efficient and effective way to market and sell their cars, says the company.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Autovia”, said Dan.
“With the market rapidly moving online, Autovia’s massive audience reach and expertise across data, brands, content and commerce can help support industry and dealer growth more effectively than any other player. It’s a unique proposition and an incredible opportunity to have a positive impact, at a critical time in the industry.”
Andy Oldham, CEO of Autovia said: “From dreaming of and researching their next car, right through to purchase, Autovia uniquely engages car buyers at every stage of their journey.”
“Dan’s data-led approach to marketing, combined with his experience driving growth in highly-competitive and fast-changing sectors, will help us better serve those customers, while positioning Autovia as the industry and dealer partner of choice.”
Autovia was launched as an independent business by parent company Dennis in March 2021, with JustEat and MoneySuperMarket veteran Peter Plumb as the Chairman and Andy Oldham as CEO. Nicola Bates is CEO of Autovia’s media division.
