Cedar appoint Eve Williams as Managing Director

Eve Williams, 28, has been appointed Managing Director of Cedar Communications as the creative and commercial content agency re-structures after two years of dramatic change and growth.

As well as the creation of this new role, reporting into Clare Broadbent CEO, the restructure also includes the creation of an Executive Board and the strengthening of The Management Leadership Team

“Eve (pictured) is the future of Cedar,” said CEO Clare Broadbent. “She has demonstrated tremendous ability in the five years she has been with us and has lead the team that has driven Tesco Magazine with its 7.097 million readers to be the widest read consumer magazine in the country. Cedar is driven by Big Ideas, Smart Content and Commercial Success and so is Eve. She has a natural ability to help our clients recognise, and realise the value of their owned and earned media.”

Cambridge graduate Eve becomes the youngest MD of any major content agency in the UK. She also launched Tesco Real Food which is already the UK’s largest food title with over two million readers, and has complimentary content platforms including an advertising funded television programme, its own social media programme, an award-winning website and ezine programme. She was part of the senior team who successfully pitched and won Tesco Lifestyle in China and then went on to set up Cedar Shanghai.

Among other promotions to the Management Leadership Team, Maureen Rice becomes Editor in Chief. She was previously Editorial Director for all Tesco publications. James Mastin, the International Client Services Director is promoted to the senior team to recognise Cedar’s growing international credentials. Karen Huxley, Group Account Director will represent British Airways.
