Evo to launch in Korea

Dennis Publishing has announced that performance car magazine evo will be launching in Korea next month with licensing partner Prinpia Co Ltd.

The imported motor market in Korea is currently going through an incredible period of growth, increasing by 10% annually. More impressive still is the increase of imported “Super Cars” which have seen an astonishing 40% annual growth. Despite many motoring titles already being available on the newsstand in Korea none of them cater specifically for this incredibly popular and ever expanding market, says Dennis.

Korea’s media landscape is changing rapidly too and the team at Prinpia will be capitalizing on this and pushing the publishing boundaries by offering readers a vast amount of augmented reality resources so that they can really bring the featured vehicles to life in their own homes. The accompanying new website also promises lots of interactive video content.

Ian Bedwell, International Licensing Director for Dennis Publishing said: “Motoring is already an incredibly popular pastime in Korea, which is reflected in the range of titles already available on the newsstand there. With a huge amount of super cars imported into the country each year, Dennis and Prinpia have identified a gap in the market that the launch of evo Korea will fill perfectly.”

Jung Min Choi who is CEO of Prinpia Co., Ltd said of the launch: “We are thrilled to be introducing the high quality magazine “EVO” to Korean readers who are showing an ever increasing interest in Super and Performance Cars. “EVO” not only contains fascinating articles, but it also allows its readers to experience superior quality digital content on many different platforms, which will thrill Korean readers who are becoming more digital and mobile savvy. Prinpia will combine their world class IT skills with their innovations in the media industry to bring a premium product to the Korean market.”

This latest launch brings the number of international editions of evo magazine up to 18, making it the world’s leading performance car title, say the publishers.

The new magazine will be published on a monthly basis, launching 31st March 2016 and will be supported by a brand new website that can be found at www.evokorea.co.kr. The magazine will have a pagination of 200 and an initial print run of 30,000 and will cost KRW10,000 per month.
