FuturePlus wins CSP contract

FuturePlus, Future’s customer publishing agency, has won the contract to provide advertising sales services and membership communications support to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

The CSP is the UK’s professional, educational and trade union body for nearly 50,000 chartered physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and assistants.  The union’s Frontline is its fortnightly magazine and the main communication tool for the country’s fourth largest healthcare sector – with members employed in NHS, independent and private practices.  The magazine includes the latest news and clinical activities, as well as ongoing events and activities.

FuturePlus will provide advertising sales for Frontline, including work on the large recruitment and courses section, display and insert sales, as well as providing production services and assisting in their reader research. As part of the contract FuturePlus will work on the CSP recruitment website www.jobescalator.com, utilising Future’s in-house experience and skills in online development.

Alongside its work on Frontline magazine, FuturePlus has also worked closely with CSP to create new membership recruitment and retention packs – developing their communications to engage with readers, whilst further boosting the profile and brand image of the organisation.

FuturePlus has a history of working with Unions – already producing magazines for the Musicians’ Union, GMB and Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS). FuturePlus recently picked up TUC Communications Awards for its work with the Musicians’ Union on its magazine, Musician and its annual handbook.

James Hale, CSP Marketing and Communications Director said: “FuturePlus are well-placed in the publishing sector to help the CSP develop and grow our Frontline advertising, and for the first time online advertising, as part of our strategic development. We anticipate that over the coming years they will help us continue to enhance our presence in the healthcare sector and build our advertising revenue – an important income source for the Society.”

Jayne Caple, Director of FuturePlus UK, added: “We are delighted to have won the contract with the CSP, and are looking forward to working with them and developing our partnership. This is an important strategic step for FuturePlus, building our strong portfolio working with unions, and strengthening our position as a leading customer publisher. “
