H Bauer launches first user generated cookery magazine

H Bauer has announced the launch of My favourite recipes, claiming it to be the first UK cookery magazine generated by readers for readers.

Priced at £1, the first issue of My favourite recipes will be on sale nationwide from November 3rd 2011. Timed to coincide with the festive period, the first issue will be on sale for 8 weeks, thereafter the title will be published monthly from January 2012.

H Bauer Managing Director, David Goodchild, says of this new launch from the Take a Break stable: “My favourite recipes is very much the product of an enthusiastic Take a Break audience. Readers have been sending in their favourite recipes and ideas via post, email, Facebook and via our websites, for years so this is a chance for us to share these with hopefully a new audience. The concept is incredibly successful in other countries and we are sure it will take off here also.

The first issue of My favourite recipes features a great balance of classic and handed down family recipes for everyday cooking and for special occasions, there’s also a home baking section which we know will be particularly popular. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Take a Break product without those handy tips, techniques and suggestions that our readers love to share.”

My favourite recipes will be backed by substantial marketing and retail activity, and will enjoy the backing of the H Bauer portfolio which includes some of the nation’s top selling women’s weekly, TV listings and puzzles magazines.
