Haymarket Network designers shortlisted for awards

John Butterworth and Tim Scott, art directors for Haymarket Media’s customer publishing arm Network, have been shortlisted for this year’s PPA consumer magazine Designer of the Year award.

Scott has been shortlisted for his work on SPIKES, the magazine for the International Association of Athletics Federations and UK Athletics. SPIKES has also been shortlisted for the Customer Magazine of the Year award, despite being less than a year old.

Butterworth has been chosen for his design work on Camouflage magazine, published for British Army recruiting. Camouflage has received a string of awards including Editor of the Year from Press Gazette’s Magazine Design and Journalism Awards in November 2008.

Andrew Taplin, Network’s acting managing director, said: "being an editorial agency, Haymarket Network prides itself on the talent and creativity of its people to deliver effective communications which change the way consumers think or behave with regards to a brand.

To have two designers shortlisted in the Designer of the Year for consumer magazines category is a powerful endorsement of our creative strength. We are also extremely thrilled that SPIKES has been shortlisted in the Customer magazine of the Year category."

Haymarket Network is the only customer publishing agency to be shortlisted for the consumer designer category. Other publications in the same category include Elle, Wallpaper* and Esquire.
