i2Media enhances senior team

i2Media, the publishers of Train, Train For Her and Fighters Only magazines has announced the appointment of Morgan Rees as its new Content Director, Nick Thackray as Creative Director and the company’s international expansion plans from a newly established head office in London.

Rees’s previous roles have included Editor-In-Chief of Empire, Editor-In-Chief of Men’s Health and Editorial Director of the Women’s Health and Runner’s World portfolios, the latter two titles previously being the chief creative responsibilities of Nick Thackray.

The partnership of Rees and Thackray will lead the development of the company’s existing titles, creating new magazines, developing new digital properties and the management of all media across all platforms, says i2Media.

The company has also opened a new “state of the art” head office in London’s Fleet Street. It will still maintain its Newcastle Upon Tyne base with its satellite offices across the US.

Rob Hewitt, CEO of i2Media says, “We are exceptionally proud to be launching our new offices in London and developing our products and team with executives as talented and committed and Morgan and Nick. As media constantly evolves we are positioning the company to be agile enough to move with the times. We will now create our print products for both the UK and US markets as well as increasing our digital output from new and existing websites and application from within the heart of the UK’s media Capital.”

Morgan Rees commented: “I’m delighted to be working so closely with this exceptional team. As we look to turn good titles into great ones, we will also be looking long-term at the print and digital markets. Thanks to their unique distribution models these brands have incredible insight into what people are seeking within the health and fitness sector. Making use of such unparalleled market data and targeted reach makes the development of the brands even more exciting, and the service to the clients and reader alike even more powerful."

The new look versions of Train and Train for Her magazines went on sale Thursday the 7th of July.
