The purpose of the new service is to support the community of broadcast media professionals that attends the industry-leading IBC show, now in its 50th year, in Amsterdam every September.
The new website will showcase industry trends, thought leadership, and exclusive interviews from IBC’s team of writers, consultants, and industry analysts. It will also host video content and a back catalogue of insightful technical papers. Tapping into the wealth of highly valuable content that is generated in and around the event every year, IBC’s scale and reach for this new venture is truly impressive, says Abacus e-Media.
Daniel Murphy, Commercial Director at Abacus e-Media, commented: “It’s great to have IBC on board the Webvision Cloud platform. This is a bold and ambitious site launch for IBC – the brand being synonymous with the main global event for the broadcast media industry, less so as a source of content – but a decision that we believe makes complete sense. This is all about connecting the IBC community with content and communications all year round, and the Webvision Cloud platform provides the tools for IBC’s non-technical staff to take full advantage of this. And because the customer experience sits at the heart of our technology, IBC can use the underlying data about their global audience to deliver a better experience in the lead up to and during the event as well. We are really excited about the uptake and interest in the Webvision Cloud customer experience platform and this marks the first of a wave of new site launches expected in Q2 and Q3.”
Imran Sroya, Marketing Communications Director of IBC, commented: “IBC365 will enable IBC stakeholders to access the wealth of knowledge generated by our wide range of industry experts, and the Webvision Cloud platform allows us to present this information in an optimised format for multiple devices with ease and at pace and, through the CMS, to curate appropriate journeys for our different audiences.”
Webvision Cloud is a Customer Experience Management (CXM) platform that provides an end-to-end digital publishing solution for media owners.
