Launch: Photography for Beginners

Imagine Publishing has announced the launch of a brand new magazine, Photography for Beginners, due to hit the shelves on 30 June 2011.

Aimed at new photographers who are embracing and sharing their photos on technologies like social networking websites and the iPad, this magazine is truly one of a kind, says Imagine.

“We understand the way people shoot, edit and share their photos has evolved,” said Editor In Chief Debbi Allen (pictured). “So we’ve developed a magazine that will help this new generation of photographers create their best photos, and show them off!”

The new magazine will boast a hands-on teaching style, with projects that readers can follow along with at home. From 5 minute Photoshop techniques to photography projects that might take a little longer, Photography for Beginners will be the ultimate learning tool, no matter whether you shoot with a cameraphone, compact or system camera.

Photography for Beginners claims to be the only magazine to be dedicated entirely to beginners, making it truly unique in the marketplace. “I’m excited to work on a magazine that embraces new photographers, new technologies and new ideas,” continued Allen. “Here at Imagine, we’re focused on creating the best magazines possible. Photography for Beginners represents not only a new magazine, but a new website and iPad app too. Combining our knowledge of great magazines with these new technologies means we can reach a new type of photographer.”

Accompanying the launch of the magazine on 30 June 2011 is a tutorial- based website – www.photoforbeginners.com – which is fully integrated with Twitter, Flickr and Facebook, enabling readers to share their photographs with a wide community of like-minded people, instantly.

Jennifer Farrell, Advertising Manager, said of the new magazine: “Photography for Beginners provides our advertisers with a unique chance to access readers in the fastest-growing market segment in photography. The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive and we are all looking forward to the first issue hitting the shelves next month.”

Photography for Beginners replaces current title Digital Camera Essentials.
