The national magazine, based in Sheffield, has been the “trusted toolkit” for regeneration practitioners across the UK for more than a decade, while its company, New Start Publishing, offers a design and print service and coordinates events.
Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, Ellen Stanier (pictured) studied a Law degree at Sheffield University, including an International module that took her to New Zealand.
The 27-year-old later worked for an insurance brokers before moving down to London and into the media world. She has enjoyed roles in display, recruitment and events advertising at companies including media group EMAP and publishing house The Hemming Group.
Said Ellen: "As New Start is a social enterprise, this is a different sort of advertising work where I not only see a magazine coming together, but feel I am making a contribution and a difference - whether that’s helping someone find a job in regeneration through advert placements or the supportive work New Start does on the charitable side."
New Start managing director Jamie Veitch said: "Ellen has buckets of advertising experience and the perfect enthusiasm and outlook for New Start. As such, she is already fitting in very well to the team."
