Print & Procurement launches blog & newsletter

Print & Procurement, the print sector training and consultancy company, has announced the launch of a new blog and newsletter, aimed at the print buying community.

The author will be Matthew Parker, Director of Print & Procurement, who has over 20 years’ print buying experience.

Matthew (pictured) says: “The print buying sector has seen a huge decrease in skill levels over recent years. Many companies can no longer justify a full time print buyer. Therefore many designers, marketers and admin staff are now faced with the daunting prospect of trying to come to terms with a new and complicated element to their role. Our blog is especially for print buyers all over the globe who are searching for practical advice and ideas on how they can improve their performance. It is written from someone who carries out the same duties as them every day. The information comes from an independent source that has no commercial interest in a company’s print buying strategy.”

The blog will also feature guest writers from the print industry.

The Print & Procurement will also issue a weekly newsletter that is aimed at people who want to improve their knowledge of print buying. Every Wednesday, says Matthew, subscribers will receive an incisive article on:

• How to make their print buying more effective

• How to make their print buying more efficient

• How to reduce their costs

• How to improve the quality and effectiveness of their printed products

The newsletter will focus on the print industry, but much of the information is also relevant to general procurement.

Readers who sign up to the newsletter will be rewarded with a free e-book “Ten common print buying errors, and what to do about them”. In the book Matthew not only outlines ten common print buying errors, but a clear set of action points so that readers have a clear route to making any changes to processes that you think may be necessary. These action points have been specifically designed to work with readers’ different styles of working.

This book is in PDF format. The book has been professionally proof-read and designed and the contents have been checked and verified by leading industry experts, says Matthew. The e-book can be downloaded from: http://printandprocurement.co.uk/e-book/
