SA Angler goes digital-only with Jellyfish

South Australian Angler, one of South Australia's fishing, boating and outdoors magazines, has partnered with Jellyfish to launch a new digital web library and mobile-optimised edition.

Alli Wilson: “It has been a pleasure to bring this product to life with Brett and the team, and with such resounding success.”

Jellyfish says the new offering uses its web library solution, and is free to access via saangler.com.au and the South Australian Angler app. With rising print and paper costs, the switch to a free, digital-only publication represents a significant milestone in the 46 year old title's history, added Jellyfish. The publisher says the change has been well received by followers and advertisers, with readership numbers up significantly.

Readers can enjoy instant access to the latest edition in both article and replica edition format, and search across the digital archive of back issues going back to 2011. Mobile editions provide easy access on smartphones, allowing SA Angler to better tap into their social media audiences, continued Jellyfish.

Brett Mensforth, publisher of SA Angler said: “SA Angler had been printed since 1978, but hefty increases in printing and postage costs, along with shorter deadlines made each issue more difficult to produce. We are thrilled to be able to have our magazine in a digital only format now. Our content is free and available to anyone, anywhere. Our reader numbers have exploded, which is great news for our contributors and advertising supporters. I am really looking forward to producing SA Angler well into the future now.”

Alli Wilson, client services director said: “The move to digital-only marks a significant milestone for SA Angler - helping to reach a wider domestic and international audience, whilst also providing a mobile-friendly and interactive reading experience across web and mobile devices. It has been a pleasure to bring this product to life with Brett and the team, and with such resounding success.”
