The cover for this issue was a complex arrangement of four outer pages and two inner single pages that incorporated gold and white UV inks on translucent stock.
In addition, there was a further two dummy single-page covers.
Meanwhile, achieving the correct colour results for Vogue was imperative. In order to succeed, colour control bars were incorporated on every plate to enable both the press crews and the client to check ink densities and dot gains on every side of every section.
Later, the first bound copies of the magazine were sent to the client, enabling magazine staff to assess the finished product while binding progressed.
For St Ives Peterborough, "crisp and vibrant", "consistent" and "excellent" are just a few words expressed by the judges used to describe the winning work which was put at the top of its category.
Its twin Manroland Lithoman IV presses ensure fast turnaround for time-sensitive magazines, such as TES magazine, while the increasing trend for insertions is catered for on a Ferag system.
Elsewhere, flexibility of print slots for Money Marketing magazine ensured up-to-date information could be printed. This combination of flexibility and high quality once again proved a winning combination, says St Ives.
