Telegraph announces Ryder Cup partnership

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has agreed a unique cross-Atlantic partnership with Standard Life Investments, the first worldwide partner of The Ryder Cup, and Bloomberg.

The partnership, which launches this Monday, 7th April, will see The Telegraph collaborate with Bloomberg in the US. This will include branded content running online across both The Telegraph and Bloomberg Businessweek, in the run up to The Ryder Cup, which is to be held at Gleneagles in Scotland from the 23rd to 28th September 2014.

The Telegraph campaign will run across desktop, mobile and tablet as well as in paper, launching to coincide with the US Masters this month.

The Telegraph’s Golf correspondent, James Corrigan, will provide first class editorial content on TMG’s dedicated online hub, with additional content running across both Bloomberg and Standard Life Investments’ sites, ahead of the biennial golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States.

Following each golf Major in 2014, The Telegraph will produce a ‘Road To Gleneagles’ feature in the sports section, reviewing player performance and the likely impact on Ryder Cup team selections.

Keith Perry, Managing Director, Sport, TMG, said: “This is a really exciting year for sport here at The Telegraph and we are delighted to be working with both Standard Life Investments and Bloomberg on this unique partnership. We are looking forward to collaborating with both partners to generate excitement ahead of another great tournament at Gleneagles, and reignite the great European and American rivalry.”

Nuala Walsh, Head of Global Client Relations, Standard Life Investments, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with The Telegraph and Bloomberg in the countdown to The Ryder Cup. As first worldwide partner, we hope to carry the excitement of this team event to our clients on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Vicki King, Director, Bloomberg Custom Content, said: “We at Bloomberg are tremendously excited to be working hand-in-hand with our partners at The Telegraph and Standard Life Investments to deliver a unique custom ‘Road to Gleneagles’ series. Given our audience’s love of golf and the golf/business crossover, we are confident the programme will be well received.”
