Tia Graham appointed Publisher of Vanity Fair

Tia Graham is named Publisher of Vanity Fair, it was announced yestserday by Nicholas Coleridge, Managing Director, and Albert Read, Deputy Managing Director of Condé Nast Britain.

“Tia is one of our long term secret weapons. She understands Vanity Fair intimately and completely, is brilliant with clients, knows everyone and works hard. She is the perfect successor to Annie Holcroft,” commented Nicholas Coleridge.

Hailing from Montreal, Tia Graham began her career at CDP Media, planning and buying for the Estee Lauder Group brands, and then moved to Condé Nast in 2000 as Promotions Manager of Tatler, rising to Promotions Director. Tia became Advertising Director of Vanity Fair in 2003, and the following year was named Associate Publisher, a position she holds today.

Tia Graham added, “I am thrilled to be moving into the Publisher role at Vanity Fair, a brand I have long respected for its editorial integrity and excellence, admired for its ground-breaking stories and iconic images, and enjoyed for its intelligent in-depth features and witty commentary. As the brand continues to evolve across the various platforms to delight our smart, sophisticated audience, I am excited to work with our hugely talented team to create new and enhanced opportunities for our all-important, highly-valued partners.”

This appointment follows the retirement of Publishing Director Annie Holcroft, who leaves the magazine and Condé Nast at the end of January.

“Annie Holcroft is not only the longest-serving member of the British company, but also one of the most admired, who has contributed to the life and culture of Vogue House in a hundred different ways. She has been one of the most inventive and winning operators in the business. I think it was 20 years ago that Annie first closed the door of my office and put me on warning that she would be retiring very soon. It was our good fortune that she did not, and stayed on to become one of the great ambassadors, characters and most effective Publishers of the British company,” said Nicholas Coleridge.

Annie joined Vogue in 1981 as a Sales Executive covering the beauty beat, and was promoted to Advertising Director in 1988. Two years later, she was appointed Publisher of Tatler, and in 1993, she took on additional responsibility as Publisher of Vanity Fair, successfully running both titles for many years. In due course, she elected to concentrate on Vanity Fair alone, which she and her team have grown successfully in volume and profit, plus a stable of admired supplements, says Condé Nast. She was named PPA Publisher of the Year in 1992.
