Sarah has broad experience in print and digital gained from previous roles including Digital and Web Content Specialist at Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Deputy Editor of Professional Hairdresser magazine and Online Editor of www.professionalhairdresser.co.uk. She also has a postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism from the Centre of Journalism, JOMEC, Cardiff University.
Sarah will join Archant Bride Editorial Director Joanne Goodwin and Bride Magazines Editor Amanda Griffiths in an editorial team responsible for two websites; more than 20 regional magazines; and wedding shows at Ascot Racecourse, Tatton Park (Cheshire), Knebworth Barns (Hertfordshire), Norwich Showground (Norfolk), Westpoint Arena (Exeter), Crowne Plaza Resort (Colchester) and Five Lakes (Essex).
Speaking of Sarah’s appointment, Joanne said: “The weddings industry is thriving and this is reflected in the editorial and commercial success of the Bride portfolio. We are lucky in that brides want to buy locally for their wedding, as well as use website planning tools and look for inspiration online. Our regional magazines, combined with our shows, websites and social media offering, cover all aspects of their planning and we are increasingly attracting national advertisers too.
“Sarah’s appointment gives me a dream team in editorial. Her experience and enthusiasm will be a great asset and it’s great to be in a branch of the media where we are recruiting to an expanding editorial team and where the future looks so positive.”
