Today Magazines Ltd have announced that Fancy Fowl magazine returned to print from its November issue.

Greg Davis: “We are so pleased to be back in print with Fancy Fowl magazine.”

Today Magazines Ltd says, established over 42 years ago, Fancy Fowl is the only monthly magazine that reports on poultry and waterfowl kept for showing and pleasure.

The publisher describes the magazine as the 'Crufts of the poultry world', showcasing poultry and waterfowl breeds, at home with breeder articles, show results, show diary, bird health, and more.

Having been digital only since November 2023 and due to reader demand, says the publisher, the magazine is available in print from its November 2024 issue to UK subscribers. The publisher says it has taken the decision not to post print copies abroad due to previous postal issues, and that the online issue will cater for those abroad.

Greg Davis, managing director said: “We are so pleased to be back in print with Fancy Fowl magazine. Having owned the title for 25 years now, it was great to see so many old and new faces at the Poultry Club of Great Britain, National Show in Lincoln in October. It was 5 years since the ’National’ last ran due to Covid and Avian Flu restrictions. We listened to the ‘Fanciers’ and made the decision on the Sunday morning to go back into print. Subscriptions have started flowing in steadily which is amazing to see but we need more to make sure the magazine is viable for many years to come.

“We had so much feedback from readers about preferring to sit down and read an article or two, put the magazine down and come back to it again and again when it was in print. Reading online just wasn’t the same for them but we know younger generations and our overseas readers do enjoy the online magazine.”

Fancy Fowl magazine is priced at £60 per year for UK print subscribers and is also available online for £19.99 for 12 issues.
