Future to launch The Real Homes Show

Future plc yesterday announced the launch of The Real Homes Show, a new online TV show from its Home Interest portfolio.

Future to launch The Real Homes Show
Paul Newman: "Real Homes is the most exciting media brand in the homes sector today."

The Real Homes Show’s first season will broadcast fortnightly from 4 April in partnership with Checkatrade, the tradesperson finding service, and is presented by former Real Homes magazine Editor Laura Crombie.

A magazine-format show with a mission to make its viewers’ dream home a reality, The Real Homes Show’s regular elements will include features on extending and improving your home, advice for making the most of small spaces, tours of the homes of leading Instagram influencers, round-ups of homeware bargains and much more.

Guest presenters will include homebuilding and renovating specialist and Future Home Interest Content Director Jason Orme, and design and build expert Sian Astley from the BBC’s Getting the Builders In.

The Real Homes Show will be distributed via YouTube and Realhomes.com.

The launch of The Real Homes Show underlines Future’s commitment to developing Real Homes as a genuinely cross-platform brand following the 2017 acquisition of Centaur’s Home Interest business, says the company.

This commitment began with the launch of Realhomes.com in January 2018 and the redesign of Real Homes magazine.

Paul Newman, Brand Director of Home Interest: “Real Homes is the most exciting media brand in the homes sector today and this innovative new product launch cements Future’s position as innovators in this space. Pairing a new video-based product with the UK’s fastest-growing homes website in Realhomes.com gives us new ways to engage with our audience and commercial partners such as Checkatrade.”

Linda Hardy, Chief Operating Officer at Checkatrade: “Checkatrade is delighted to be sponsoring The Real Homes Show because it’s the right fit for our customers. The Show offers great, impartial, practical advice to people looking to transform their homes, and we have over 34,000 checked, vetted and recommended members ready to support these projects, no matter how big or small. We are always looking at the best ways to help our customers look after their most valuable asset – their homes – and sponsorships such as this give us a great opportunity to give them added value.”
