GamesRadar+ announce Senior Editorial Appointments

Future plc has announced two senior appointments in its GamesRadar+ global editorial team, with Susan Arendt being promoted to Executive Editor, US and Matt Elliott joining the team as Senior Commissioning Editor.

Susan, who joined GamesRadar+ in March 2015 from Joystiq as Managing Editor, is promoted to Executive Editor, US. Susan has been paramount in the growth of GamesRadar+’s global brand and significant traffic increase (Unique Users up 19% year-on-year), says Future. Susan takes charge of the US team with immediate effect.

Susan says, "I'm pleased to cap my first year at GamesRadar+ by stepping into my new role as Executive Editor, US. The shifting sands of web media are an ongoing challenge, but I have complete confidence in our team's ability to adapt and thrive. We're focused and committed to finding ways both silly and serious to cover everything you love in gaming and entertainment - because we love it, too."

Matt Elliott, who previously was Commissioning Editor across the whole of Future’s gaming portfolio in the UK, joins the global senior editorial team of GamesRadar+ as Senior Commissioning Editor to focus on curating and expanding the sites content across games, movies and TV.

Matt says, “I’m massively pleased to join GamesRadar+ at such an exciting time. It’s enriching to be surrounded by such bright and brilliant people, and I look forward to sharing my hot takes on gargantuan RPGs (I get disproportionately excited about the weather in The Witcher 3), Star Wars and my inevitable, doomed search for companionship in Mass Effect: Andromeda.”

Daniel Dawkins, Global Editor in Chief, GamesRadar+ says, "I'm delighted to confirm Susan as our new Executive Editor, US, and welcome Matt Elliott, Senior Commissioning Editor, as

GamesRadar+ enters an exciting new phase of its development. Susan's work as Managing Editor on the site over the last 12 months has been exceptional and she is the ideal choice to lead our new US team. Matt is a natural fit for the role of Senior Commissioning Editor and – among many, more practical, talents – has exceptional taste in formal footwear. I'm thrilled to add his expertise to the team as GamesRadar+ expands its passionate and informed coverage of games, movies and TV."

Both Susan and Matt take up their positions with immediate effect and will be based in San Francisco and Bath respectively.

This time of change sees Ludwig Kietzmann leave GamesRadar+ following a successful tenure as US Editor in Chief, says the company.
