GQ promotes Nick Carvell to Associate Style Editor

Nick Carvell has been promoted to the role of Associate Style Editor it was announced today by Dylan Jones, Editor of British GQ, with a remit across print and digital.

“Fashion is absolutely central to the British GQ offer across all our platforms and Nick Carvell covers this spectrum deftly with a unique understanding of what our readers, visitors and users want. His promotion reflects both his increasing importance to our style coverage and his status within the industry as one of the sharpest and most-respected menswear writers,” commented Dylan Jones.

GQ’s Fashion Director Robert Johnston said: “Since joining GQ, Nick has become an indispensable part of the fashion team. Whether at the shows in London, Milan and Paris or at the latest launch, he is one of the most recognisable faces and, thanks to his prodigious output on the GQ website and in the magazine, is one of its best-read writers.”

Carvell was previously Fashion Editor of GQ.co.uk, a position he has held since September 2012, and was voted Online Fashion Journalist of the Year at the 2014 Fashion & Beauty Monitor Journalism Awards.

GQ.co.uk has recently been reimagined with a mobile-first strategy, and includes a recently launched GQ Video channel, say the publishers.
