Launching on October 9, heat Style Book will be aimed at heat’s fashion- and beauty-conscious female audience and deliver aspirational advice and tips for women of all skin types and tones, as well as all shapes and sizes, say the publishers.
The brand extension follows heat magazine’s commitment that all fashion and beauty should be all-inclusive, with its style section pledging fashion for everyBODY since Spring 2018. According to Bauer, the move proved such a huge hit with both readers and advertisers that the team now believes it is a natural extension to create a new standalone product with the same ethos.
Issue one carries a Gatefold advertisement from Sainsbury’s clothing line TU’s #TUWorkIt inclusive new campaign, which showcases a cast of 15 women from all walks of life, backgrounds and abilities, encouraging them to break the mould of workwear and invest in clothing that makes them feel good and confident.
Commenting on the launch, heat Style Book Editor Laura Puddy, says. “This is not just another fashion magazine – it is about confidence boosting, offering expert advice whether it’s for readers seeking out the right bra or perfect pair of jeans for their shape, to ways to make them feel more beautiful from the inside out.”
heat Style Book promises to “decode the trends, give relatable style advice, showcase affordable and attainable fashion and beauty products, while also highlighting what to invest in”.
Helen Morris, Managing Director of Bauer Media’s Celebrity Weeklies and Entertainment adds: “There has been really positive interest from advertising brands who recognise the synergies with the way their brands are moving towards increasingly inclusive and diverse messages.”
The Autumn/Winter edition of the magazine will cover new-season fashion and beauty for everyBODY with 451 of the Best Buys. Sections include: The Radar; three ways to wear a pleated skirt; Find Your Fit – key styles for all shapes, sizes and budgets; Style Stalker featuring Euphoria’s Barbie Ferreira; Spotlight On – a look at River Island’s inclusive take on fashion; and the magazine’s team puts over 200 shades of foundation to the test. The first issue includes TV presenter Emma Willis, Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and tips from Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island Aftersun’s hair and make-up artist, Enya Sullivan. Other brands advertising in the launch issue are Simply Be, Accurist, Next and I Saw It First.
heat Style Book is 100pp and priced at £2.50. The launch will be supported by a marketing campaign that utilises Bauer Media’s existing print and digital portfolio, including house advertisements in heat, heatworld, Closer and across various radio stations. Further issues of heat Style Book are planned seasonally in 2020.
