New editorial appointment at NatMag

NatMag has announced the appointment of Ian Birch as Director, Editorial Development & Special Projects.

Ian Birch (pictured), currently a freelance consultant editorial director and content strategist, will assume the role on December 14 and will collaborate with NatMag on a number of editorial initiatives across the business.

Ian is one of the top editorial talents, both in the UK and US, and has worked as a freelance consultant Editorial Director and Content Strategist for a number of top media companies.  

He was also a former Editorial Director at EMAP for more than ten years, launching Red, Closer, Grazia and re-launching Heat. Most recently he was Chief Content Officer at TV Guide in New York for four years, working across both print and digital platforms.

The Chief Executive of the National Magazine Company, Arnaud de Puyfontaine says: "Ian is highly regarded internationally and we are delighted that he will be collaborating with us on a number of projects.
