New editorial team at Climb

Following the departure in July of longstanding editors Neil Pearsons and Gill Kent, a new editorial team takes over the helm of Climb Magazine.

According to distributors COMAG: “From the October issue, the country’s premiere climbing magazine will be edited by two of Britain’s most experienced climbing and mountaineering journalists, David Pickford (Editor-in-Chief) and Ian Parnell (Associate Editor).

The new team has made a number of significant changes to the title’s design and content to build on the strong foundation laid down by Neil and Gill and consolidate the magazine’s position as the best monthly English-language climbing title available anywhere.

One of the key changes from this issue will be more focused and in-depth coverage. The current lead article will increase to about eight pages, the current one-page interview will be replaced with a longer, four-page feature interview and the photo gallery section will be expanded and enhanced to give room for exceptional images.

In addition to this, one or more feature in every issue will be of strong topical relevance to the season or on a subject of current affairs in the climbing world.

According to the new Editor-in-Chief, David Pickford, “The new Climb is a magazine for every climber you know and for the many more you don't… but most importantly of all, the new Climb is a magazine for you - for your vertical world”.”

Climb magazine is published by Greenshires Publishing.
