New publishing team for InStyle

IPC Southbank has appointed Linda Swidenbank as publishing director of InStyle, extending her existing publishing responsibilities, while Inca Waddell takes the role of InStyle publisher.

Linda Swidenbank (pictured), a winner of the PPA Publisher of the Year Award, will also become publishing director of Wedding and Wedding Flowers. She adds these brands to her existing portfolio, which includes the award-winning woman&home as well as Essentials and woman&home Feel Good Food.

Inca was acting publishing director on InStyle for much of last year and delivered a strong circulation performance.  She takes up the position of publisher with immediate effect.

IPC Southbank managing director Jackie Newcombe says: “Linda is an extremely talented publisher who has achieved great success with woman&home – this expansion of her portfolio is well deserved. Linda will be ably supported on InStyle by publisher Inca Waddell, who secured a superb period of circulation growth for the magazine as acting publishing director last year.”

Linda says:  “InStyle is performing brilliantly and Wedding and Wedding Flowers are significant brands in the bridal market. I look forward to working with each of their talented teams to deliver further success.”

Inca adds: “I thoroughly enjoyed my time on InStyle last year and I’m very excited about the potential of both the magazine and website for 2010. I can’t wait to get started.”

Linda takes over as publishing director of InStyle, Wedding and Wedding Flowers with immediate effect. She replaces Kirsten Price, who left the position at the end of 2009 to spend more time with her family.
