Redesign for Cycling Plus

Cycling Plus, Immediate Media’s cycling magazine, has taken on a clean and contemporary new look for its 300th issue on sale next week.

This refresh offers a “sophisticated style, brilliant photography and new testing awards” to appeal to existing and new readers.

Immediate Media says: Since its latest re-design in 2011, the magazine has assumed the position of market leader. Some of the key changes include:

* Playing to the strengths of print; brilliant photography, clean contemporary design.

* Refocused on the importance of testing; bringing best in class testing to the fore.

* More grown-up, more sophisticated look and feel; in line with our affluent, discerning demographic.

* Branding update; sharpened logo, clearer sign-posting in all sections and new testing awards.

* Cover is embodiment of new grown-up style, new fonts, every line optimised to deliver benefits.

The April issue features Cycling Plus’s Bike of the Year announcement, one of the most anticipated events in the cycling calendar. Also in the issue are a hilarious look at travelling the world with your bike from acclaimed author Tim Moore (French Revolutions, Gironimo) and a brilliant new column from ITV Sport’s cycling expert Ned Boulting.

According to Rob Spedding, Cycling Plus Editor: “Cycling Plus has been delivering the world class cycling content our discerning readers demand since 1992. We’ve been at the leading edge of the road cycling boom and have evolved with our readers to ensure that we remain at the head of the pack. We last redesigned four years ago, so the time felt right for a new look and the great thing is we are doing it from a position of strength. With 23 years of trusted reviews, it’s only right that Cycling Plus brings its best in class testing to the fore and places greater emphasis on brilliant cycling products. In this issue we also reveal the winner of our ultimate test by naming the Cycling Plus Bike of the Year 2015.”

Despite a host of new launches in the cycling sector Cycling Plus holds its strong position as market leader in the road cycling sector with a combined circulation of 48,695. In the last round of ABCs it outsold its nearest rival by nearly 2:1, says Immediate Media.
