Regeneration title reduces frequency

Regeneration & Renewal is to switch from weekly to fortnightly. This is part of a revamp of its content offering in the new year, reflecting, says Haymarket, changing reader and advertiser needs.

From February 2010 the print title will move to a fortnightly frequency, providing more in-depth coverage than the current news-led offering.

Online, Regeneration & Renewal will offer an expanded range of news bulletins coupled with an enhanced and redesigned website with richer content. Meanwhile the title will continue to build on its existing series of supplements and directories in print and also on its successful range of live events including conferences, exhibitions and awards.

In line with the changing content requirements of the revamped products, the title will be reducing its news and editorial production headcount, while at the same time reinforcing its ability to attract the very best external commentators on the sector.

“We believe that this restructuring of our portfolio will strengthen the Regeneration & Renewal brand, and allow us to satisfy the changing needs of readers and advertisers, while also remaining responsive to tougher market conditions within regeneration and the public sector generally,” said Haymarket Professional managing director Stephen Farish. “We are confident that these changes will reinforce Regeneration & Renewal’s position as the leading information source for the sector.”

“We continue to believe strongly in the future of the regeneration sector despite the current difficult economic conditions and concerns about the public finances,” said Haymarket Business Media chairman Martin Durham. “Our aim is to continue to serve our audience with the highest quality content in the most appropriate format for their needs, and to ensure our offering remains as relevant and useful as possible in anticipation of better times to come.”
